Our Story
Our founder, software engineer John Scott, was travelling in Sri Lanka when the 2004 tsunami struck. Nothing's more terrifying than being caught in a major incident, unable to tell family, friends and colleagues you are safe. The experience made him realise the need for a system to help people stay connected in times of crisis. At the heart of this system: better travel tracking.
That idea became ShoutSafe, our first travel notification system, which launched in 2010 and evolved into the Voyage Manager platform. John started the company in Cambridge, a UK technology hotspot, and has been building travel safety tools ever since.
From Enterprise to Everyone
For years, Voyage Manager served large enterprises — companies with hundreds or thousands of travelling employees. In 2025, we launched self-serve plans to make the same enterprise-grade tools accessible to individuals and small businesses.

Environmental Commitment
The health of the environment matters to us. We monitor our carbon footprint using Voyage Manager's climate impact tools. We have solar panels and battery storage, use electric vehicles and bicycles, and offset all our non-green travel. We achieved carbon neutrality in 2021.
